Who do we have sitting in the veggie garden? Well, I’ll be bald headed, if it isn’t Kali…the one and only furry goddess of the garden. S’cuse me Kali but you always look to me like you’re going to spew a line from Hamlet or drop a great prophecy from Muhammad . I look THAT important, uh? That’s nice of you say Shoko. Hey, there is no denying the truth big sis. So any pearls of wisdom for us common folk, Kali? eh…hmmm….the catnip without the flowers in the far end of the flower patch is sweeter than the patch of catnip with flowers on it. There you have it my friends some words of wisdom from Goddess Kali……nip without flowers is sweeter tasting than nip with flowers.
Kali and Weiss really do look like twins. i gather similar in personality as well. π

If Weiss acts like she owns the house and the air one breath’s in it…yes, they are quite similar.

Guess we need your advice, Kali. We have one nip plant and it has flowers on it. Should we have Mom take them off? Will our nip automatically turn sweeter? XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

Hi Kittiesblue *waves a nip leaf*. This is a very interesting question because just cutting off the flowers will not do. When mom sees the herbs flowering, she cuts the plant back to the first two leaves. Then the new growth is sweet. She has to do this with the nip too. Thanks for your question friends.
