Writer’s Tour

Dezi’s mom of Dezizworld has asked me to participate in the Writer’s tour. Me, not knowing when I have been at the computer long enough said…”Oh sure…I’d like that.” So here I am wondering if I can do justice to this bit of disclosure. First, I must thank Dezi, Lexi and Audra for thinking of us.

The writer’s tour involves answering three questions involving my writing process. Then contacting three other bloggers and have them do the same. You are to link back to the person who asked you (me). The names of the blog recommended by myself must be linked to those blogs. Got it? Hope so.

Most, if not all of my posts are seen through Shoko or Kali’s eyes. This can be a daunting task at times because understanding or trying to understand a furry four legged, busy feline is challenging. Kali is a little easier because she is pretty well always with me. Yet Kali is loving and tender so some of the activities that Shoko does would be out of place with Kali.

1/ What am I working on?

Well, true to form I’m working on several things at once. I don’t like doing anything this way but I always end up with more than I expected. The characteristics of Shoko and Kali are always being rounded out or fiddled with. This just takes time and some pretty keen observations. There are bound to be changes to the girls friends and their surroundings. This area has a definite four seasons and there are different things for the girls to do depending upon the season.

2/ Why do I write what I do?

My world changed quite dramatically when I suffered from heart failure last year. A pace maker was put in to help stop the dramatic rising and dropping of my heart rate. The pace maker was put in improperly and I ended up with blood/liquid around my heart. I had to be transported by air to Vancouver so this blood could be sucked from around my heart*shudder*. When I finally came home….my world was pretty small and uninteresting. This went on for months. I was bored! I played with the cats and got a lot of laughs from their behaviour. I thought well why not try a blog and share their fun ways with others. Maybe there are other people in a similar situation….that need a good laugh to help them deal with issues in their life. This was the beginning of the blog.

3/ How does my writing process work?

This is a tricky question because the process is different at certain times and events. I could have a thought about Shoko….something she has done has reminded me of something similar. When out with friends….somebody says something I think would be best in Shoko’s mouth. All these bits and pieces sit at the back of my mind until another piece comes along and I can see the story in my mind. Then I act and change until I feel satisfied.

I am relatively new to blogging. I follow a lot of pet blogs and find them all fascinating. These are talented and pet loving folk. So I must say to any of them please come and participate in the writers tour. I would love to know what your process for writing is and what sparks your imagination. Just remember to link the person that asked you to your blog and make links for the three blogs you are recommending.

Hi Easy, Shoko says she’s up to visiting a saloon with you as long as they stock Nipitinis. Is any drink your favourite? Thanks Easy. You are one sweetheart of a guy.

      Your friend Jean

Thanks for sharing with us how you came to be blogging and what gives you ideas for the blog. We enjoy keeping up with Shoko and Kali! Didn’t know about your heart failure and subsequent pacemaker….what a frightening thing that must have been but once everything was fixed properly, I’m sure you feel better and have more energy as well. Just take care of yourself AND Shoko and Kali because we love the blog…………………!

Hugs, Pam (for me and Sam)

Thanks Pam and Sam. It is a very long procedure….this getting everything organized after the installation of the pacemaker. My meds are still being adjusted. That’s a whole different story that you really don’t need to hear. Cat Scouts actually got me on the computer and then I looked around. Found your blog and laughed at Sammy antics. I began to think about a blog of my own but didn’t act on it. Funny how things work out.

Well done! Now I am doubly guilty since you and Dezi have beat me to doing your writing process post and I have not. Procrastination is my name 🙂 Thanks for sharing! Glad your pacemaker experience lead you to joining the blogging community because we love having you here!

I guess discovering blogging was one of the good results that happened out of the whole mess. You must do your writing process too Kelly Jo. We love to read it. Whenever you get around to it….we’ll be there.

      Kisses Jean and girls

Hey, cats! Nice to meet you! Thanks for stopping by. Sounds like you’re divided on team shcat vs team shkitten. I hope it doesn’t cause strife at home! Sorry to hear about your health troubles but it seems to have lead to a blog you love! -love, Crepes.
