Cat Scouts Independence Day

We had such fun at Cat Scouts today. The day started for me with a float purrade. Each of the four Wildcat Patrols had floats in the purrade. What a lot of work went into the floats. I hammered my paw and had to Have Teapartycat wrap my paw in cloth bandages. She then painted the bandages pink. What an awesome Asst. Patrol Leader.

The floats were beautiful. You could tell the hours of work that had gone into each float.

There were different Marching Bands in the purrade. After the purrade we played volleyball and the Catwalk. I finally won a cake….Sammy’s sandwich cake…with my lucky number #5.

Sparerib apparel.

Cowboy gear for the picnic.

I marinated spareribs for 12 hours at home and started cooking them very early today on an open grill at a very low temperature.

They were delicious. I brought 10 pounds of ribs and they were all eaten. Along with the corn on the cob and hot dogs. It was a totally awesome day and I will sleep like a log tonight.

Good night my friends.

It was a super time girls. A real honest to goodness fun day. Mom doesn’t know this but later in the afternoon I went out to the Lane and caught a bird. I just played with him a short time and then walked away….he was still breathing when I left.

Hi Sushi, You’re right Tea did a great job wrapping my paw and painting it neon pink. I think the ThunderCats float was the best one there but it wasn’t a competition. I have darned near slept ever since the 4th. hehe
