Our (really its Shoko’s) Veggie Garden

Planting this garden took well over 2 hours, garden on the left.  I watched mom put the seeds in the ground and I helped bury them.  I rolled numerous times on the path so it was easier for mom to walk.  Fertilizer was liberally applied to get the seedlings started.

The end of June saw the veggie garden just a growin’ like crazy.  Looks like mom fell down with the weeding.

This is my favourite container with the frog in it.

The bunnies eat all your garden? The little devils! What can you do to stop them? That’s not fair. Thank you for visiting today and viewing how big the veggie garden is becoming.

Morning Roxy and Tigerino, thank you for visiting my garden. I am quite proud of it. From the moment I get up until my curfew of 8pm….I patrol my garden. Well, not ALL the time. There are still mice in the Lane waiting to play. Have a great Sunday.

Shoko I think your garden looks FABULOUS! I also quite like Mr. Frog and his fishing pole in that planter – no wonder he’s your favorite…….You sure do have a nice yard….you and Kali must love taking care of all the plants (haha).

    Hugs, Sammy

Thank you Sammy for the nice compliment. It’s a lot of work and by the end of August, I have had enough but luckily then its harvest time and its up to mom to do the canning and preserving. Dad usually helps with various good ideas mom should follow. Handy tips to make canning easier. Can you imagine how happy she is to hear these tips? hehehe

Hi Nissy, It’s so nice to meet you! Another Canadian cat…..yippee….there are more of us out there. I am so happy you visited. I must pop over for a visit with you. Where in Canada do you live? Not that I’m going to come and terrorize you or anything like that. Stop by for a cup of tea whenever you want…bet we have lots to meow about.

I love your garden, Shoko. Mom would love that too. She loves greens. Shoko, we will always be furiends even if I’m not with Cat Scouts anymore. Love you, my furiend!

Thank you so much Sushi. The garden is a lot of work but well worth it. Mom has just about finished the radishes now. She said they were very tasty. As the radishes get older they become hot and can get maggots so mom polished them before this could happen. Thanks for visiting the garden. Next time you stop by we will have a Nipitini my friend.

      Loves ya, (((Shoko)))
